MI Sod Growers
We start getting our sod fields ready for seeding in early summer. This involves tillage, to reduce compaction; leveling, to make a flat workable surface; and debris removal. In early August, we start seed prep with a fine rake for a smooth growing surface, and we lay down a pre-planting fertilizer application. We end up with the best MI grown sod. Read more.
MI Sod Installation
Sod can be transplanted in normal MI conditions. Fall & Spring are known to be the best sod installation times due better temperatures and more available moisture. In most of MI sod is available starting early Spring (commonly in Mid-April) until the ground freezes in early December. Call us for the best MI sod available.
